Emmerdale viewers were left heartbroken as teenager Heath Hope tragically died in a car crash.The ITV soap aired some truly distressing scenes when Heath, played by Sebastian Dowling, lost his life after a car accident on the way to a party in Hotten.

Despite being told not to go to the party, Cathy Hope decided to take Wendy's car and head off to the New Year's Eve bash with her twin brother Heath and their friend Angelica.

But things took a tragic turn when the car veered off the road in a shocking collision, leaving Cathy and Angelica with nasty injuries.

Sadly, Heath didn't survive the crash. In emotional scenes, Wendy tried to save him but it was too late. A distraught Bob realised he had lost his son.
