The family of a 30-year-old woman who died in an ambulance crash have shared their sorrow. They described Lauren McFarland as a "beautiful, caring and confident person" who had just come back from her dream trip to the Himalayas.

Lauren passed away at the scene of the accident on the A66 in Cumbria. The collision, involving her car and an ambulance, happened near Keswick.

Emergency teams came to the spot near Burns Farm after 8:50 am on January 11. The police said that Lauren's car, a Fiat Punto, and an ambulance were in the crash, LancsLive reports. Try MEN Premium now with our amazing New Year offer...
