Jay-Z is calling for the prosecution of all officers involved in George Floyd’s death. Floyd died in Minneapolis last week after he was arrested and a white police officer knelt on his neck for over eight minutes, despite him insisting he couldn’t breathe.
News of Floyd’s death has sparked protests across America and many celebrities have been seen calling for change and demanding justice for the 46-year-old.
Four officers involved in Floyd’s arrest were fired and officer Derek Chauvin was arrested on Friday on suspicion of third-degree murder, meaning he has been accused of killing Floyd without prior intent, but with disregard for his life.
