Kate Garraway joined her neighbours to clap for the carers as her husband Derek Draper fights for his life in hospital. The Good Morning Britain star got into the community spirit, as she was pictured filming applause for the NHS, police and frontline workers across the UK on Thursday night.
The 53-year-old was seen smiling as she emerged from her North London house, dressed casually in a grey hoodie and denim shorts.
Following the weekly applause at 8pm last night, Kate uploaded a video from her street, with neighbours setting off red, white and blue smoke to celebrate not only the carers, but VE Day.
The mother-of-two wrote: ‘The neighbours turned into “red arrows” tonight for #clapthecarers #nhs & #keyworkers . Have taken so much comfort
