Kerala records 24 fresh corona cases, total tally at 237

ERNAKULAM : Kerala on Wednesday confirmed 24 fresh covid-19 patients, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said, taking the total number of active patients in the state to 237, one of the highest state-wise figures in India.

Nine of the fresh cases have recent overseas travel history and the rest were found to have infected through contact with people already tested positive, said Vijayan.

Kerala has confirmed 265 covid-19 cases so far, said Vijayan. Out of that, 191 were returnees from foreign countries, seven were foreign citizens, and 67 others were infected through contact with them.
