Covid-19: Kerala confirms 32 more fresh cases, state tally at 213

ERNAKULAM : Kerala on Monday confirmed 32 more covid-19 patients, taking the total tally of active patients to 213, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said.

It is the second highest number for an Indian state, after Maharashtra. Out of the fresh cases, 17 were overseas returnees and 15 were primary contacts of existing patients, the CM said.

Kasargod, one of the most infected districts, topped with 17 fresh cases. Its neighbouring Kannur reported 11 fresh cases and two others were reported from Idukki and Wayanad.

Kerala has kept under observation 1,57,253 people so far over the coronavirus outbreak in the state, said Vijayan. Out of them, 623 are in hospitals and the rest are at their homes.
