KFC starts to re-open some UK stores for delivery after coronavirus shutdown

Chicken lovers can rejoice as KFC has opened some of its restaurants for deliveries amid the coronavirus lockdown, and is donating free meals to NHS staff.

Two Manchester branches have started selling fried chicken again on delivery, despite the coronavirus pandemic having not hit its peak yet.

The UK has been under strict guidelines for the past three weeks in a bid to stop the spread of the deadly bug. Non-essential shops closed down last month and KFC shut its doors with immediate effect worldwide, reports Manchester Evening News.

The decision came as the UK went into an effective lockdown, with the likes of competitor McDonald's doing the same, having initially being reduced to drive-thru only.
