Syd will make his speech to a small collection of family and friends at South Bristol Crematorium. Comedian Eddie, 78 , who appeared alongside sidekick Syd for years, died on April 2 after contracting coronavirus.

Flowers in the colours of Eddie’s beloved Manchester City will be placed over his coffin. Eddie’s wife of 36 years Patsy said: "Of course Syd had to give the eulogy and send Eddie off on his final journey. "It’s their final appearance together." Theme music from the Little and Large show will also be played.

PHILADELPHIA - No one was injured after a gunman opened fire on a Philadelphia police officer during a shootout Wednesday afternoon in Germantown.Philadelphia Police Sergeant Eric Gripp told reporters that two plainclothes officers in an unmarked car were patrolling the 4800 block of Keyser Street around 2 p.m. when they came upon a shootout between a 23-year-old and a 20-year-old.
