Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has joined forces with Neymar and a number of other Brazilian footballer’s to donate a huge sum of money to help people in their homeland.
Outside of Europe, Brazil has been one of the worst affected countries by the coronavirus pandemic, with almost 50,000 reported cases.
In an effort to battle the virus in some of the nation’s poorest areas, a group of 57 influential personnel have donated 2.5 million reais (£376,718) to help the cause.
The donation will also be matched by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), and will go directly to three organisations who are working tirelessly in the Brazilian favelas.
