Man United keeper Sergio Romero tested for coronavirus after two weeks in quarantine

Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has revealed how he underwent a coronavirus test – after two weeks in quarantine in his native Argentina.

The test came back negative, but United No.2 Romero endured a difficult trip back to Buenos Aires, where he remained in his seat for the entire 14-hour flight, over concerns about the virus.

Once back in the Argentine capital, Romero, 33, was forced to spend a fortnight self-isolating in a hotel, before taking the test, and it was a further three days before the result came back and he was allowed to go to his home and be reunited with his family.
