An Italian model has finally tested negative for the coronavirus after a staggering 75 days, she has claimed. Biana Dobroiu, 23, was considered one of the earliest patients to have Covid-19 in Bologna after being taken into hospital on February 28.

She had a fever of 40.7C on the same day. The model, of Romanian origin, said she underwent 11 coronavirus tests in total, seven which came back positive, two which were unclear and now she has finally tested negative twice after 75 days.

She had been discharged from hospital on March 6 but has had to agree to strict isolation. Biana had continued testing positive throughout April and doctors saw her case as “almost unique”.
