Man Utd were interested in signing Timo Werner but admitted to the striker that any deal would revolve around Paul Pogba. The Red Bull Leipzig star met with United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in Berlin back in February, around the same time he held discussions with Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.
Since then Chelsea have activated Werner's release clause, and look set to tie him down to a five-year deal worth £200,000 per week.
