Man who tried to jump Asda queue and 'wasn't staying two metres away' from shoppers arrested after threatening staff

A man has been arrested after threatening security staff in Trafford Park Asda when they challenged him about queue jumping.

The man was also reportedly failing to stay at least two metres away from other people, forcing staff to step in. When he was challenged by security staff, he became abusive and threatening, and police were called.

Police in Trafford shared details of the arrest on social media, and say the man was detained for a public order offence. Asda has urged customers to treat staff and other shoppers with respect following the incident on Friday and says it will not tolerate violence in stores.
