STERLING, Va. - A prank being recorded for YouTube could be the cause of a shooting over the weekend inside a Virginia mall food court.The victim’s father says his son, 21-year-old Tanner Cook, is a YouTube influencer known for recording comical escapades at malls. His father says he was recording a prank Sunday for YouTube, involving Google’s translate feature, when 31-year-old Alan Colie became offended and reportedly shot him in the abdomen. Cook remained hospitalized Tuesday. "He has a YouTube channel, and he goes to malls, and he tries to have fun and do goofy stuff and try to get people to laugh to watch his videos," Jeremy Cook said.

GEORGETOWN, Del. - A Delaware school resource officer arrested a student at a high school after the teen was found with a gun, state police say. According to authorities, the incident occurred on Wednesday morning around 9:00 a.m.

CRANFORD, N.J. -  Police in New Jersey are hoping to identify a "person of interest" who was caught on video leaving a dead cat in a resident’s mailbox. The incident was reported on March 12 just after 10 p.m. at a home in Cranford and was reported the next morning, according to authorities. The Cranford Police Department shared video footage from a home security camera on social media, which shows the person – who appears to be male – walking with something in their hand up the driveway.The person is then seen walking away from the home, and down the sidewalk. In footage shared by the Cranford Police Department, the individual is seen walking down the sidewalk and up the resident’s driveway before leaving a dead cat in the mailbox.

Dio Garcia of Philadelphia was arrested in Bensalem.  BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The Bensalem Township Police Department is touting the success of what they call proactive police work after an armed robbery suspect wanted in Philadelphia was arrested during a traffic stop in the Bucks County town. Authorities say on Tuesday, just before 10 a.m., patrol officers saw a 2013 Ford Edge commit a violation while going south on Route 1. According to police, the officers initiated a traffic stop and made contact with 40-year-old Dio Garcia from Philadelphia. A check of the crime system revealed the car Garcia was driving was listed as a felony vehicle with an occupant wanted for a point-of-gun robbery, officials say. Police say Garcia was also wanted out of Florida on a warrant for a probation violation. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESGarcia was taken into police custody and the Ford Edge was towed by police, authorities say. After a search warrant was obtained for the vehicle, a search led to the finding of a container of suspected marijuana and a loaded .40 caliber Beretta handgun, officials say. The gun, which was reported stolen out of Delaware, matched the description of the weapon used in the armed robbery in Philadelphia, per police. Police say Garcia faces several charges in Bensalem and Philadelphia Police are obtaining an arrest warrant for the gunpoint robbery.

Investigators say that with the help of her father, 64-year-old Rodney Staude, the baby was "left to die" and disposed of along a street in the town.Police began an investigation on March 8 after being contacted with "concerns for the safety of a child," and located the baby deceased on March 9 "along the road in the 5300 block of Delaware Street in Warren County." PHILADELPHIA - A man has been taken into police custody after he drove a minivan into the front of Philadelphia Police headquarters. The crash happened just before 5 a.m.

City of Madison Fire Department noted. On March 12, the agency released footage of a home explosion obtained by the social news platform Storyful. According to local media reports, no one was home, and there were no injuries in the incident. In a Facebook post, the Madison Fire Department wrote "large amounts of snow can put heavy weight and pressure on the pipes which ultimately causes them to break and fail.  "In both home explosions, there was 10+ ft or more of snow on the gas meter."Officials concluded writing "another issue is snow clogging the vent on the regulator which can cause a build up of pressure which can cause gas to leak into a home," the fire department wrote.

LEVITTOWN, Pa. - An arrest has been made in a deadly Bucks County hit-and-run that left a man dead more than one month ago, according to authorities. On Monday, Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub announced the arrest of 45-year-old Daniel Stephen Dietrich of Palmyra, New Jersey, in connection with the death of Jason Smith, 47. According to police, the search for the driver of a pickup truck began after the incident occurred on February 5 around 4:15 p.m. in the parking lot of the McDonald's on the 7700 block of Bristol Pike in Levittown. Authorities say 47-year-old Jason Smith was struck and killed by the driver of a Chevy Silvarado in the parking lot of a Bucks County McDonalds.

PHILADELPHIA - A mother and daughter are injured after police say they were shot inside a Holmesburg pizza shop Wednesday night. Just before 9 p.m., police responded to Mayfair Pizza, located on the 7400 block of Frankford Avenue, for reports of a shooting. Police say gunfire erupted after an attempted robbery inside the pizza shop. Investigators say 19-year-old Kaleb Bridges walked into the family-owned and operated pizza shop and asked for money while pointing a gun at the employees. MORE HEADLINES Authorities say the suspect fired three shots inside the store, hitting a 65-year-old woman in the stomach and her 34-year-old daughter in the shoulder. Police told FOX 29's Shawnette Wilson that the husband and father of the victims, along with employees and customers inside the store, jumped on top of the gunman and subdued him until police arrived. The victims were rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital where authorities say they were placed in stable condition.Bridges was taken into custody and a weapon was recovered, according to police. He was later charged with aggravated assault, VUFA and related charges.

PHILADELPHIA - A woman accused of shooting another woman several times in the bathroom of a Philadelphia bar has been taken into custody, according to police. Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 4700 block of Rising Sun Avenue around 9 p.m. for reports of a shooting inside the bar. Witnesses told responding officers that they heard gunshots shortly after two women entered the bar's bathroom, and one woman exited the bathroom and left the bar. Chief Inspector Scott Small told reporters that the shooting victim was driven to Temple University Hospital with three gunshot wounds and immediately taken to surgery. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESBar patrons provided police a description of the alleged shooter which helped officers find the 39-year-old suspect about two blocks away.

PHILADELPHIA - Three people became the targets of two shootings within a two-hour span, and now officials say the man who pulled the trigger is in custody.Quiseer Russell is accused of carrying out the shootings, which began at Dilworth Plaza just before midnight on February 13.A 29-year-old uniformed security guard told investigators he was working when a group entered the plaza after hours. Police say the unarmed guard tried to get the group to leave, but one man refused, and a physical altercation broke out.Video shared by police shows the guard punching Russell once before the suspect pulls out a handgun and fires two shots at the guard.The bullet struck a window on a nearby café at the plaza, missing the guard.MORE HEADLINES:About two hours later, officials say Russell and two unknown males engaged in another altercation with two men at Broad and Snyder streets.When they pursued Russell by vehicle, the suspect fired one round into the vehicle, according to officials. The bullet hit one of the men in the leg.Russell was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime and related offenses in connection to both shootings.

(Photo by KAMIL KRZACZYNSKI/AFP via Getty Images) HAVANA, Cuba - A Florida-bound Southwest flight returned to Cuba Sunday after birds struck the aircraft which led to smoke filling the cabin. The airline said the incident happened onboard Southwest flight #3923 leaving Havana, Cuba, for Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in the morning. Shortly after takeoff, the pilots reported multiple bird strikes to an engine and the aircraft’s nose.The plane returned to Cuba where passengers were evacuated via the slides because smoke filled the cabin.RELATED: NTSB investigating after jet passenger dies during severe turbulence over New EnglandThe crew and passengers were bussed to the terminal and will be placed on another flight, the company told FOX Television Stations. "We commend the swift, professional actions of our Pilots and Flight Attendants in responding to this event," the airline said in a statement.

BUCKEYE, Ariz. - The adoptive mother of a boy who went missing in 2016 and was later found dead in 2018 in Buckeye has been arrested, police said.On Dec. 13, Buckeye Police announced that 54-year-old Crystal Wilson was arrested at her home in Gainesville, Georgia in connection to the death of Jesse Wilson.Crystal Wilson was indicted by a Maricopa County Grand Jury and is accused of abandoning or concealing a body.
