Mum 'distressed' after being banned from breastfeeding baby by hospital Covid rules

A mum was banned from seeing her newborn and breastfeeding him due to Covid rules. Charlotte Jones couldn't see six-week-old Leo for six days after being rushed to hospital with gastritis and a blood infection.

The 29-year-old claims when she asked if her baby could be brought to her for breastfeeding, she was told it was not allowed.

Photos show baby Leo snuggling up to his mother's dressing gown at home with his dad Matt, 37, to help him maintain a bond with his mum.

Charlotte snuggled up to his baby grow in hospital, in an attempt to help maintain her milk supply. Current visiting restrictions outlined by Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust "limit all but essential visiting" to their hospitals.
