Hearts owner Ann Budge has asked the club’s employees to take a 50 per cent cut, while Hibs are in discussions over deferrals and Aberdeen chief Dave Cormack has spoken of a £5 million hole in their budget.
The situation is the same across some of Europe’s biggest leagues. Continental big-hitters such as Barcelona, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have already taken steps to make cuts during this nightmare scenario.
