A further seven Covid-19-related deaths have been recorded in Northern Ireland during the past 24 hours, taking the official Department of Health toll to 1,039.
There are also 451 new cases from tests on 2,839 individuals, taking the cumulative number of positive tests to 54,628. There are 394 confirmed Covid-19 patients in hospital, with 33 in ICU, 24 of whom are on ventilators.
Hospitals in Northern Ireland are currently operating at 99% bed capacity. The average seven-day infection rate per 100,000 for Northern Ireland is 153.1.
The Mid and East Antrim council area remains the highest rate at 230.2, followed by Newry, Mourne and Down on 210.8, and then Derry City and Strabane on 207.1.
