Northern Ireland's Deputy First Minister Michelle O'Neill has said that for proper alignment between north and south to continue in tackling Covid-19, the Northern Ireland Executive needs to be informed in advance and understand when measures are being taken or changed in the Republic.
Speaking on RTÉ's Morning Ireland, Ms O'Neill said "an honest reflection" would show the Republic had been slow in sharing information and had only informed their northern counterparts on Friday last about changes being announced that day to the easing of restrictions. "More advance notice would have been much preferred," she said.
