Broadcasting watchdog Ofcom has received hundreds of complaints over Eamonn Holmes' coronavirus comments. Eamonn appeared to back the conspiracy theory that 5G is somehow to blame for the pandemic.
He said on Monday's This Morning that the media did not know if it was true or not. Ofcom said it had received 419 complaints so far.
Britain's media regulator is assessing the programme after Eamonn questioned why the "mainstream media" had slapped down a conspiracy theory linking the spread of the coronavirus to 5G masts. "We are assessing this programme in full as a priority," a spokeswoman said.
