Paedophiles are using the coronavirus lockdown to prey on children, who are increasingly going online to meet friends and complete school lessons, it's claimed.
Home Secretary Priti Patel said today that although overall crime is down by 21 per cent, some types of crime are on the rise.
Fraudsters and paedophiles are trying to exploit the crisis, while domestic violence also seems to be getting worse. It comes after the National Crime Agency (NCA) said it had found evidence of online predators discussing 'opportunities' to abuse children during the crisis.
