Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Piers Morgan was quick to apologise on Monday’s Good Morning Britain, after getting caught breaking a certain coronavirus rule over the weekend.

Photos emerged of Piers and his wife Celia Walden seated inside the back of a cab, taken by the paparazzi.While Celia, 45, had her face covered in a patterned mask, Piers, 55, forgot to put his on, breaking the guidelines in preventing the spread of Covid.Piers apologised for the misstep, but it didn't stop his colleagues from seizing the opportunity to have a go at him.

His GMB co-star Charlotte Hawkins couldn’t help but poke fun at him on the show, buying him a bespoke face mask as a cheeky dig.
