The Premier League is set to return within weeks after Prime Minister Boris Johnson was briefed on plans for games to be shown on TV for free.
Matches will, as expected, be played behind closed doors, but fans will be able to watch any top-flight fixture from home. Coronavirus saw the football season suspended, with the last game having taken place on Monday, March 9 when Leicester thumped Midland rivals Aston Villa 4-0.
Players have been self-isolating like the rest of the UK, although a return to training next month has been targeted. And now it appears we could see Premier League footie back on our screens as soon as May.
