DETROIT (FOX 2) - WEB UPDATE (12:30 a.m.) Tensions escalted late Friday night between protesters and police in downtown Detroit. At 11:30 p.m.
one protester was shot and killed when a gray Dodge Durango pulled up and someone inside opened fire into the crowd, hitting a 19-year-old at Congress and Randolph.
The wounded man died at the hospital from his injuries, according to Detroit police. Police moved back the crowd and used tear gas and pepper sprays to thin the protesters out in some areas.
