one protester was shot and killed when a gray Dodge Durango pulled up and someone inside opened fire into the crowd, hitting a 19-year-old at Congress and Randolph.

The wounded man died at the hospital from his injuries, according to Detroit police. Anyone with information is asked to please call Detroit Police Homicide at 313-596-1290 at Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. Police moved back the crowd and used tear gas and pepper sprays to thin the protesters out in some areas.
