Paris-Saint Germain star Neymar has made a hefty donation to help fight the coronavirus pandemic. The Brazil forward secretly donated five million Brazilian Real (around £769,000) to humanitarian agency UNICEF and to a solidarity fund set up by celebrities.
The money will be used to help treat coronavirus and to provide support for those struggling because of the impact of the global outbreak.
Former Barcelona ace Neymar made the donation under the radar, but was revealed as the benefactor by Brazilian TV show Fofocalizando.
He is the latest sports star to stump up cash to help efforts to fight the virus, which has claimed more than 50,000 lives around the world.
