Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan appears to have publicly ended his feud with Gary Lineker. The outspoken duo have long traded jibes with each other on Twitter, however, Piers' latest message to Gary is nothing but praise.

Posting to his 7.5 million followers, Gary, 59, revealed he is donating a large sum of money to British Red Cross to help combat the going coronavirus crisis.

Sharing a link to a Just Giving page, Gary said: "Decided to donate a couple of months' salary to British Red Cross who are doing vital work for those most vulnerable during the Coronavirus crisis. "Feel incredibly fortunate to be able to do this. "If you’d like to join in, it’d be greatly appreciated." Quote tweeting the post to his 7.2 million followers,
