In a rare television address on Sunday evening the Queen will praise the British people for their 'resolve', acknowledge the pain felt by families living through the coronavirus pandemic, and say that this generation will be judged as "strong as any" in the United Kingdom's history.
In a highly unusual message to the nation, the head of state will also issue personal thanks to front line NHS staff, care workers and others who are continuing to carry out essential roles during the most serious peacetime crisis in living memory.
In what is described as a deeply personal message, she will also reflect on her own experience in other difficult times. In the broadcast, due to be shown on Sunday evening at 8pm, the monarch will acknowledge the
