This year’s Davie Cooper Soccer Sevens has been cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.Monday marked 25 years since the legendary Rangers, Motherwell and Clydebank hero passed away and over 300 schoolchildren had signed up to take part in the seven-a-side competition in Cooper's home town of Hamilton. The tournament was named in Cooper's honour in 1995, shortly after his tragic death from a brain haemorraghe. And this year's event was due to be a momentous occasion, with the former Scotland international old school, Udston Primary, set to take part for the very first time to mark the 25th anniversary of his passing. The event had been due to take place at Hamilton Palace Sports Grounds on Sunday, May 18, but will now not go ahead.A
