Rangers fan dies after 'contracting coronavirus' as tributes flood in for 'cracking guy'

Tributes have been paid to a Rangers fan who tragically died after reportedly contracting coronavirus. Ryan Storrie, who was based over in Dubai, died at the age of just 40 after he suddenly took unwell.

He jetted back to Scotland to watch the Ibrox side take on Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League on March 12.

After becoming unwell Ryan, who is originally from Ardrossan, was unable to flying back to the Middle Eastern country. Rangers online fan channel The Gers TV led tributes to the fan.

Writing on Facebook, they said: “I have just heard the sad news that one of our viewers, a friend, a fan and a loyal Orangeman Ryan Storrie has passed away. “Aged only 40 and leaving behind a wife and young family due to Covid-19 virus. “The Gers TV
