I have a debt payment plan in place under the Scottish government Debt Arrangement Scheme. My income has dropped due to the coronavirus and I can’t make my monthly payments.
What can I do? I’m worried it’ll be revoked and I’ll be back to square one. There has been new guidance released to advise that no Debt Arrangement Scheme cases will be revoked until further notice where non-payment is due to the coronavirus. It will also be possible to have a payment holiday and we would advise you to contact the organisation who set up the scheme for you to progress this.If that is not possible, you should contact the Debt Arrangement Scheme administrator directly.I’m self-isolating, but can’t get out to top up my gas and electricity meter.
