The SPFL have been wresting over the fate of the leagues – but also the cash due to be paid out to the clubs. Scottish football is feeling the financial hit from the coronavirus shutdown but there is money on the way – sooner or later depending on when Dundee make up their minds.
Several clubs including Rangers and most recently Hearts have been calling on the SPFL to release funds in the form of loans BEFORE calling the league but league bosses insist the rules do not allow them to do so.
Yet, the £25million prize pot has already seen some funds sent clubs’ way through the season but the overall cash up for grabs goes from more than £3m to the Premiership champions down to just more than £1m for the team finishing bottom of the top
