A firm which operates a busy Rutherglen car park has been accused of putting profits before people during the coronavirus crisis.Gemini Parking Solutions, which runs the Rutherglen Exchange shopping centre car park, has been slammed by angry residents and politicians for not only charging, but wrongly fining motorists who park there to collect medicines and essential items during the lockdown.
One Rutherglen resident who wished only to be referred to by her first name, Susan, told the Reformer : “I always paid for parking there, without fail. “So to get a letter through the post telling me I had a fine for using the car park was a complete shock.
