Sam Armytage has broken her silence on her extended absence from Sunrise as she continues to battle a nasty respiratory illness. WATCH: Sam Armytage's message to WW members from COVID-19 isolation The TV star told Daily Mail Australia that she is ‘hoping to be back on air soon’ after taking more than a month off work.

Sam first took some time off from the Seven morning show on February 26, explaining to fans that she was ‘at home sick as a dog.’ She recovered enough to make a brief return to the show from March 3-13, but hasn’t been back on air since.
