Saskatchewan government is recruiting an emergency support team to help staff personal care homes that declare COVID-19 outbreaks like the one at Regina’s Extendicare Parkside Special Care Home.Extendicare Parkside is home of Saskatchewan’s deadliest COVID-19 outbreak that infected more than 200 people and killed around 40 residents.The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) stepped in to help manage the care home in mid-December, after the outbreak was declared in late November 2020.
