A high school is closing its canteen and has reintroduced face masks following a rise in Covid cases. Bury's health protection team and Bury Council have advised St Monica's RC High in Prestwich, Bury, to bring in the extra measures until October half term.
Pupils and staff are also being asked to take a lateral flow test before arriving each day and to stay off and get a PCR if it's positive.
In a letter to parents on Wednesday, interim headteacher Emma Keenan said: "As you are aware we have been working closely with Bury HPT to monitor the number of Covid-19 cases within our community.
