Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to give some good news to golfers, gardeners and the parents of primary school kids when he announces the first changes to the UK lockdown tomorrow night.
The Mirror reports that the PM will use his 7pm Sunday night address to reveal that schools will begin a phased reopening at the start of June, beginning with Year 6 primary leavers.
But there will also be more repercussions for lockdown breakers, with fines for breaching social distancing rising from £60 to £100 and going as high as £3,200 for serial offenders.
Garden centres, repair shops and hardware stores will be allowed to reopen from tomorrow. And non-contact sports such as golf and fishing are to resume soon after that.
