Broadcasters Sky Sports have reached an agreement with the Scottish Premiership over their coverage for next season amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

The season was curtailed in Scotland last month, despite the Premier League’s intention in England to restart the 2019/20 campaign from June 17.

Celtic were subsequently awarded the title, and clubs will not return to action until next term. Due to the season’s early cancellation, the 2020/21 campaign is on course to kick off in August as usual.

The Premier League in England is not set to begin next season until at least late September due to the current campaign continuing until the end of July, while UEFA’s European competitions are also poised to be completed in August.
