China has shut down gyms and swimming pools in the capital of Beijing, raising fears the country is at risk of a second major wave of coronavirus infections.
It comes days after the Chinese city of Harbin was placed on lockdown, putting 11 million under fresh travel restrictions. A student who had tested negative for Covid-19 and had gone through a 14-day quarantine returned to the city before the deadly bug was contracted by more than 70 people.
On Saturday, the northwestern province of Shaanxi reported seven new imported cases in citizens returning home from Russia. The country's communist regime has claimed the total number of coronavirus cases in China - where the disease first emerged in December - is now 82,830.
