The Chief Medical Officer has said that while each of us has more options available to us for socialising now that Covid-19 restrictions are easing, we should be selective about what we do rather than doing everything just because we can.
Speaking at this evening's coronavirus briefing by the National Public Health Emergency Team, Dr Tony Holohan said that increased socialising will lead to an increase in the spread of Covid-19.
He said that people should "select from the menu" of available options for increased social activity as restrictions are eased over the Christmas period.
