St Mirren call for SPFL to end the season as they dismiss Rangers EGM as 'not the priority'

St Mirren have called for the SPFL to end the Premiership season immediately to ensure the safety of fans. And they have dismissed Rangers requests for an independent investigation and an EGM as not being the priority to clubs across the country.

The Premiership side voted in favour of the resolution that has already ended the lower leagues in Scotland and allows the SPFL to do the same with the top flight.

It would see St Mirren finish above the relegation zone and they believe that it would be the best thing for all of Scottish football if the league was called now.

Ending the leagues would see prize money paid out on final standings and Saints believe that will help in dealing with the current coronavirus crisis and planning for next
