Oscar winner and rising TV stars feature in the new true crime series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story covers the chilling case of two brothers who murdered their parents.

The series explores the story of Lyle and Erik Menendez, who in 1989, shot their parents dead in their Beverly Hills home. During their trials, the brothers claimed years of abuse as the motive behind their heinous act.

However, the prosecution argued that their true intention was to inherit the family wealth. This is the second instalment in the Monster anthology series, originally created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan for Netflix in 2022 with The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

Netflix will release all nine episodes of the true crime series on Thursday, September 19.
