Tattoo artist mum pins note on her child after she's shamed in supermarket

The coronavirus pandemic has changed everything about the way we live – even things as routine as taking the kids shopping. These changes are particularly hard on single parents, as one mum found out when she took her five-year-old daughter to the supermarket and found herself being shamed by other shoppers.

MaryAnn Fausey Resendez got so tired of people's reactions to her little girl being in the shop, she made a sign to pin on the kid’s back.

It read: "I am only five. I can't stay home alone so I have to buy groceries with mommy. "Before you start judging – stay back 10 feet." MaryAnn, a tattoo artist from McAllen in Texas, US, also uploaded her detailed 14-point checklist for every shopping trip.
