It's a warm, sunny evening in Bolton town centre and the streets are mostly silent. Nearly everybody is at home following the government's coronavirus lockdown advice.
But, for Ashley Khan and Katie Bland this is the first chance they have had to get a decent meal in days. The couple are standing in a queue of dozens in Le Mans Crescent, in the shadow of Bolton town hall, waiting their turn at a street kitchen run by support group Homeless Aid UK.
Both of them have been homeless before, but just a few weeks earlier they were living in a shared house in Bolton and 37-year-old Ashley was earning a wage working as a painter and decorator.
