Three NHS nurses who had to wear bin liners to protect them while treating coronavirus patients have tested positive for the deadly bug.

Staff at Northwick Hospital in Harrow, north London, claim shortages of gloves, footwear and aprons meant makeshift PPE had to be used.

Shocking images of workers wearing bin bags circulated last month, the Mirror reports. All three nurses pictured have since tested positive for Covid-19, according to the Telegraph.
