First case of coronavirus 'caught from corpse' as medical examiner tests positive

Scientists think the death of a medical examiner could be the first case of coronavirus caught from a dead body. The examiner, from Bangkok, Thailand, is thought to have contracted the disease from an infected body in March, according the Journal of Forensic and Legal Medicine Study.

Won Sriwijitalai of the RVT Medical Center in Bangkok and Viroj Wiwanitkit of Hainan Medical University in China, the authors of the study, wrote: "Forensic professionals have to wear protective devices including a protective suit, gloves, goggles, cap and mask.
