Tragic baby Ollie endured violent attacks and cried out in pain in final days at hands of evil parents

A tragic baby had a horrific end to his short life spent enduring violent attacks and crying out in pain at the hands of his evil parents.Twisted Michael Davis, 29, was sentenced to life on April 10 for killing Ollie Davis, his infant son, whose fatal injuries included more than 20 broken ribs and a snapped neck.Ollie's mum, Kayleigh Driver, 31, was also jailed for seven years after being convicted of causing or allowing her son's death in October 2017.

The cruel parents, both from Leicester, were found guilty last month after a two-month trial at Leicester Crown Court, reports the Mirror.A court heard horrifying evidence about their parenting and how four-week-old Ollie suffered a catalogue of disturbing injuries only seen on victims of a "high-energy car crash".The last 10 days of little Ollie's life were spent in agony, the court heard, before he was found unresponsive in his cot on the morning of October 21, 2017.Despite being rushed to hospital by emergency services, he was sadly pronounced dead shortly after.At first, medics could not see an initial cause of death, but a post-mortem later uncovered the unnerving facts and revealed the true depths of cruelty little Ollie was subjected to.Examiners found the newborn had sustained a total of 40 bone fractures - including a fractured skull, collar bone, breaks to joints in both arms and legs and 23 rib fractures.Ollie's cause of death was put down to a broken neck.

Experts told the trial that he would have been in considerable pain.Sentencing Davis, Mr Justice Cotter said he had caused all the injuries during four separate overnight "episodes" of violence.He said: "At least five different mechanisms were required to cause this terrible array of injuries.
