The family of a 15-year-old boy have revealed his heartbreaking last wish. Conor Durkin-O’Brien said he wasn't scared of dying, but said he was worried about being forgotten after he had gone.
The teenager, who had the most severe type of muscle wasting disease, spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), died in Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool in November 2018.
Doctors had told his family he would not live past his first birthday, the Liverpool Echo reports. But his mum and dad, Julianne and Phil, fought to raise funds for a trip to America for treatment which could, and did, prolong his life.
