Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC), asked the federal government to help fund a series of projects that would identify burial site locations of children at Canadian residential schools.The funding for this, around $1.5 million, was denied by the feds, which was led by former prime minister Stephen Harper at the time.
