Three men smashed into a house through a glass door and held a woman at knifepoint before stealing items inside. The trio, armed with knives and a sledgehammer, broke into the house on Mottram Rise, off Mottram Road, in Stalybridge.

They threatened the 26-year-old homeowner with a knife and demanded cash. The group also caused a significant amount of damage to the property.

They fled from the scene with a quantity of cash and two Rolex watches. The burglary took place shortly before 10.10pm on Saturday, April 25.
