A heatwave is set to bring scorching highs of up to 27C to parts of the UK next week. As Brits enjoy the first weekend of lockdown in which sunbathing, picnics and unlimited exercise are allowed in England, temperatures are forecast to keep climbing.
The Met Office predicts today will bring dry and sunny weather to much of England and Wales, with the mercury hitting the low 20s.
Temperatures of 18C will be felt widely, including in Exeter, Southampton and Norwich. Parts of the northwest are likely to see some rain and drizzle, but conditions should brighten throughout the day.
