India’s coronavirus curve is flatter than the US now but the case count is still rising too fast for comfort The number of confirmed covid-19 cases in India rose by 23 percent over the past 48 hours to 1071, the latest data from the ministry of health and family welfare (MoHFW) shows.
This is a slower increase compared to the previous 48-hour-period, when the number of cases had risen by 35 percent to 871.The number of active cases rose 22 percent over the same period to 942.
Over the past 24 hours, the national case count has gone up 15 percent. India’s trajectory is now flatter than that of the US, which is emerging as the new global epicentre of covid-19.
